Swain's General Store is a classic, locally owned general store in Port Angeles that has been around since 1957. It’s one of those unusual stores where you can walk in for one thing and discover a dozen other departments.

Cliff and Bee Swain opened the store in 1957, initially selling military surplus, hardware, and fishing gear. It expanded repeatedly over the decades and evolved into the enormous general store it is today. The company says community giving has also been an important part of its history, with the store and Swain's Family Foundation reporting nearly $1 million in donations and sponsorships over the years.
