Damn.  Eric doesn’t just play.  He truly feels every note.  So much soul in that man.  Bless him

I appreciate the dude in blue keeping the rhythm going and just enjoying every second of it.

When you've heard a song a million times and suddenly a better version pops on your auto-playlist and makes you stop the car so you can close eyes and enjoy every fredding note. Blown away

Mr. Hazel is beaming with approval from Guitar Heaven🎶👌🙏

I hate to even admit how many decades ago I first heard what I considered to be the greatest guitar instrumental ever conceived and now I'm old and the internet is allowing me to hear some of the most outstanding covers which I didn't even consider could be played.  The whole band is very talented.

One of THE BEST guitar solos of all time...............PERIOD. just saying

Papaw sent me those video about 6 months ago. He passed decemeber 2022. I played maggot brain for him on his death bed, stopped it, and said "hey papaw, we gonna listen to maggot brain? Might as well listen to it live!"amd I scrolled through out old text to when he sent me this video. Got a maggot brain tattoo 5 days ago. Jamming and crying to this every day since. I miss my best friend. Keep on rockin✌️ come on, maggot brain... go on, maggot brain...

truly one of the oddest ensembles youll see. Left handed bass player AND drummer. Pedal steel. plus Eric G playing upside down.

Saw the man when he was 16 with his brother on bass..melted me to the back wall..like the Greatest SRV RIP.. dude bleeds guitar...

Pedal steel solo was unexpected and fantastic!

Eric is a legend. The organist was amazing too.

Music that is played on actual instruments will change your life everybody if you didn’t know.

Just bought in my 2026 to this how did I not Hear this till now 🔥🔥🔥

any man steps up to take on maggot brain better bring his A game. Hard to beat the emotion and thrill of the original. Having said that, Eric is killing it here. Fucking fantastic.

Oh man am I glad I went looking for alternate versions of this...Eric gales doing maggot brain...oh my Lord... awesome 🤘😜🎸🎶☮️❤️

Just look at his face as he reels off those notes. Nobody gives more of himself than Eric. Fantastic!

Maggot Brain makes me cry ... that tune is just awesome.  Great choice brothers.

This feels like an Eric Gales deep cut. Some of the smoothest playing I've ever heard from him. The range is unique with that man. The band is creating the perfect landscape as well. Beautiful stuff

Funkadelic and Eddie Hazel would be proud!

Wow. This is THE song that made me really love Funkadelic. But having hearing Eric do it is such an amazing gift to my ears. I have no words except "wow."
