some general lore for the world building
- The 'Etheric Sea' is a phenomeon which encapsulates the entire planet of Solaris-3. Usually invisible from the ground, it manifests when the Lament (the source of bad juju energy, basically the apocalypse). Usually the Lament is about to land the sky takes on that appearance. The first time we see it is actually just before Rover awakens at the start of the game.
- Jinhsi is the Magistrate of the City of Jinzhou. She isn't quite the "Queen", hence her title of Magistrate (an appointed adminstrative leader of a small region or city). The entire region is called Huanglong, with Jinzhou being a relatively young outpost city.
- For the second trailer the region is a made mostly of islands with a strong religious presence, hence more water and fantasy knight motif compared to the post apocalypic scifi of Jinzhou.
The trailer for Jinhsi acts as a teaser for the 1.1 Thaw of Eons update. You'd get to experience more of what that entails as you play through it.
Dawn Rises takes place after the events of 2.4 first half. IRL lore is that the 2.x updates I would say are heavily designed to be as "attractive" as possible to redeem a shaky 1.0 launch, so this trailer acts mostly isolated from the main story so there isn't much spoilers in the trailer apart from I suppose the game having the character who is on screen.
For Aemeath's trailer, I can't offer too much lore as I think this trailer has a lot of layers which are best appreciated when watching it before the 3.1 story, and rewatching after 3.1 first half. Unlike Dawn Arrives which has a lot of easily understood beats akin to a short film, Salvation acts more like supplementary content to enrich the experience.

When you play WUWA long enough, you'll notice Kuro game's weird quirk. But not in a bad way. Its kinda unique and sometimes hilarious too🤣🤣

reminder that some resonator can either develop non-human features from their resonance awakening and/or when overclocking with the specific feature themselves attribute to their spectrum pattern with jinhsi’s resonance being jinzhou’s sentinel jué an asian dragon hence why she has scales

As a day-1 player I was there for the rocky launch but I could see the foundations of something that could atleast be alright - the Jinhsi cinematic came out just before 1.1 and it alone convinced me to stay because If they could channel the camera work and directing of that cinematic into the games story then I knew It would be fantastic. Skip forward 2.5 years and I'm still here and it was absolutely worth sticking around.

Have you watched Saving Light? - it’s another cinematic, the very first one in fact! Some incredible music as well

the term magistrate differs between region (real world region here not in-game) so its hard to pin-point exactly what jinhsi’s “magistrate” position actually entails though in china it refers to someone with administrative authority over a specific geographical area and considering jinhsi is the magistrate of jinzhou i’d say this is probably the definition being used here
basically jinhsi is the top official for jinzhou government so not exactly a queen but the closest thing to a ruler for the city
however jinzhou is just one of the many cities in the huanglong region each with their own sentinel and there is a capital too so she still likely differs to a higher authority from said capital and the most recent patch’s storyline also reveals that each city’s governing body at least holds equal authority to one another since jinhsi couldnt intervene in what was happening in xuanfang hold despite the dire circumstances as it wasnt in jinzhou’s jurisdiction but mengzhou’s instead which seems to be laying idle doing nothing including their sentinel too (which we later found out their sentinel was in a predicament that kept their hands tied and has to resort to stealthy measures)
