I can see milwaukee putting out a contract out on Dean 😂😂😂

been slowly switching from milwaukee to makita thanks to these power tool repair channels

Thanks for the videos... I find them so relaxing.
Never had to repair any tools, but I've always taken stuff apart and rebuilt it.
Keep up the great work! 👍😊

I left my Makita multitool at work and needed one for home. Having enjoyed your repair videos, I decided to take my older brushed Makita multi apart to see if I could fix it, expecting the non-replaceable brushes to have gone after many years of use. I disconnected and reconnected all the connectors and rebuilt it having not seen any glaring problems and it works again! Thanks for the vicarious experience matey.

It's not just power tools. Everything is going to crap these days. Clothes, shoes, computers, laptops, cars, tools, furniture, you name it! My microwave was built by Sharp in 1999. It still works fine. My parents old Flymo lawnmower was absolutely thrashed and yet was thrown away because it was "ugly". The motor on the new one blew up when it hit a large piece of wood - I know it shouldn't have been in the grass but that's not the point. Quality is gone now.

You just upset the red team :)

Flux makes life heaps easier when soldering, your wire is probably flux cored which is why it helps with melting old solder.

Can't express how disappointed I am with Milwaukee now. I recently started swapping out all my power tools (Dewalt and Makita), for Milwaukee, but having found your channnel, I am reversing this mind set. I like their quality out of the box, but I despise with a passion, companies that do not have an easy right of repair system, and a full and comprehensive catalogue of replacement parts at sensible prices. They have lost me now. I am glad I have found out before buying more.... Cheers.

Milwaukee, built only to be replaced...even when it's a faulty switch. 🤑

41:07 that makita 1 second impact is priceless :))

Обожаю этого парня! Dean ты крут. Больше о Milwaukee я не могу узнать ни от кого! Везде долбанная реклама.

Good job on fixing what you could out of all those. So glad i ain't stuck with Milwaukee. The way their tools have evolved you have to have plenty of money to waste. Makita to the rescue lol. made me chuckle when i saw the Makita nut gun undo that chuck.

I have had two platforms for many years - Makita and Milwaukee.  With all that I am hearing about the Milwaukee, I think I will start looking for an alternative to Milwaukee.  It seems as if they have taken the phrase "built to fail" to a new height.

The Milwaukee marketing department must have kittens every time Dean posts a video. There is no way anyone but a fanboy would seriously consider these except considering them as powerful throw away tools ..

Great video. It's interesting because here in nz most of the guys love Milwaukee because of the extra power until something goes wrong and they can't be fixed while those of us who have Makita still have the same ones from 10 years ago and have only had to the switches and bearings for in them. I know a few guys who swapped to Makita and love them now. Yes the 18 volt might not have the power of the Milwaukee but being able to rebuild them has saved a lot of time and money in down time

It is build for short lifetime🎉

Thanks mate

And all these tool suppliers marketing the shit out of them here in Ireland. It’s frustrating

I knew I wasn't going crazy when I claimed that the old brushed Milwaukee stuff if what's reliable and able to last a good while. All I ever see getting warrantied and going bad these days are Milwaukee's Fuel tools, but yet, I still see the old tools running just fine.

I’m a French plumber and I have maybe 30-40 Milwaukee tools.
2 were send to a default during the warranty… a m12 surge impact driver and an electric welding m12.
They send me back 2 brand New tools…
For the surge the problem was the trigger and for the welder the Heater…

I think they don’t have the parts Even in the milwaukee repair shop…now i’m thinking for the next tool I will go to japanese (makita maybe)
