3:01 The headband was originally white but after Frieza's high class soldier Dodoria killed his crew, and literally being buried underneath their bodies, staining his bandana as blood red. Literally.

Bardock headband is a rag cover with the blood of his fallen friends, it represents the his promise to avenge them

Goku’s got adopted by named grandpa gohan when he landed on earth and named him goku. Goku named his son gohan after him.

The Flying Nimbus( the cloud Goku rides on) was something from the Original Dragonball, which Goku rode since he couldn't really fly at the time... at least, not at those speeds.

Nowadays its just like the ol' family car.

9:55  In the anime, Frieza was cut in half by his own attack and was begging Goku for mercy. Goku wanted to kill him for killing his best friend and destroying Namek, the planet they're on which had 5 minutes left before exploding(it took 10 episodes)

But instead Goku spared Frieza some energy to escape the soon-to-explode Namek as an act of mercy. Frieza, in all his huge ego, decides to shoot a beam at Goku to thank him and as a result was ultimately vaporised. Goku has a good heart. He doesn't kill unless absolutely necessary.

To explain Broly a bit, there are 2 versions of him. The first one you saw who was defeated by Goku then Goku and his sons was from an old DBZ movie (Three in fact). Those movies were non-canon side stories that while fun, don't matter to the plot.

The Broly who fought Gogeta and was wished home by the green girl (Cheelai IYC) was in a DBS (Dragon Ball Super) movie and actually IS canon to the plot of the series.

Goku indeed is a good person, but he doesn't consider himself one. The thing is, he is a good guy, but he fights evil dudes because they are strong and he wants to be stronger. So he usually saves the planet more by a competitive spirit than a sense of justice. Still, he can't stant people doing bad things, but he will act only if he is in the right place and in the right moment, 'cause he doesn't fly checking arround to see if there is crime like some kind of super hero. Goku is a chararther more complex to understand than meets the eye.

Kakarot is Goku's saiyan name. When he first landed on Earth, he was a savage, unruly child when Grandpa Gohan found him, but thanks to a head injury, he lost all of his instinctual aggression and was then adopted by Gohan and named Son Goku.

Goku named his son after his grandpa btw

11:58 His birth name is Kakarot but when he was sent to Earth as a baby, he was found by Gohan who adopted him and gave him the name Goku. From there he was always called Goku by all his friends and enemies except Vegeta who only uses his saiyan name. After they meet Broly in Dragonball Super, he tells Broly to call him Kakarot as well.

Cell is one of my favorite Dragon Ball villains because of the craziest things he could do throughout his many forms.

9:56 The reason why Goku looks kinda disappointed in Frieza is that this is the first time this has happened in his life, Piccolo changed through Goku’s mercy and Vegeta changed because of Goku giving mercy, in that instance we see regret in Goku since he just learned that not everybody is willing to take your kindness and grow upon it, some might even use it against you

for the last two, i just love super saiyan 4 winning so much more, when blue wins, he just sounds cocky with the "of course you lost" but ssj4 says "you're me, so naturally, you're good" which is just so much cooler in my book

6:37 most iconic beam clash

27:50 A lot of times actually, one of the most notable was when goku and beerus were fighting in the upper atmosphere of earth, their clashing punches were so strong the shockwaves almost destroyed the universe

Goku always being a kind soul in the series, which is opposite from his race's nature (at least on his universe). Even after being Super Saiyan, which requires rage to activate (at least at that time), he still doesn't have in his heart to kill Frieza, even though Frieza kill his best friend. He even give Frieza a chance to walk out of the fight after he deemed that Frieza can't defeat him on that state, but Frieza's ego is too high to accept and attacks Goku instead. His face after he finished Frieza shows how disappointed he is.

16:32 this one unfortunately lost a lot of its weight since they had to reduce it to a simple short cutscene. The actual moment itself in the anime is one of the greatest in my opinion since its literally everyone on the planet  trying to give Goku all their energy so he could win the fight and save the planet.  Goku even has a whole speech about how we wishes Buu can be reborn into a good person so they could have a friendly fight after seeing how powerful he was.

30:12 The thing is, big Dragon Ball fights are very much almost always in the villains favour for most of the fight but then the heroes will get a power up or whatever and win in the end so when only showing the endings it does look pretty effortless.

Goku actually has a surprisingly low win rate 1v1 wise, the big fights usually end with the whole or a good chunk of the main team joining in to bring the bad guy down where just 1 of them alone couldn't, it's a theme throughout the series that Goku wins through the strength of not just himself but the friendships he forges along his adventures but a lot of fans don't seem to realise that and claim "Goku always has to save the day" despite him rarely doing it alone.

27:52 There's actually a couple (if you don't mind some spoilers -- more than the video already showed, that is):

• Cell's beam clash with Gohan (13:50) was prefaced in the anime and manga versions with Cell stating he'll blow away the entire solar system with his Kamehameha. Seeing as how the previous two villains only threatened to destroy the planet, that was quite a big leap in disaster radius.

• Kid Buu (the character at 16:06, technically called "Pure Evil Buu" in a lot of the JP media, but the "Kid" name stuck in the English fandom and eventually official English translations because... he's small) destroyed several planets after he sent Goku and Vegeta running. Those planets included Earth itself and very nearly a good chunk of the afterlife.

• Super Buu (not in FighterZ, but imagine Kid Buu taller and a bit more muscular) almost destroyed the universe by raging out too hard and tearing holes in space-time. Because he could just do that, I guess? Vegito (the fusion at 19:05, but at this time with only Super Saiyan 1 instead of SSJ Blue) was able to punch him out of his rage before too much damage was caused, and Buu promptly locked back in on the fight.

• The fight between Goku and Beerus (18:28) had a moment in the anime where they almost destroyed (or at least damaged beyond repair) the universe more directly. Basically, Goku was learning to control a new form and didn't clash punches with Beerus properly enough, resulting in the residual energy becoming shockwaves that started to damage the universe. There were two or three times that happened, but he was able to get used to the form in time to stop punching sloppily and prevented anymore shockwaves for the rest of the fight.

• Zamasu (the fusion at 19:20) had wished for immortality before his arc started, so after Trunks vaporized him (21:08), he took on a more incorporeal energy-based form and tried to merge with the universe itself. Luckily, Beerus's boss was called over and he was able to boom Zamasu before he was able to successfully phase through time and take over other timelines. Yes, even for Dragon Ball standards that whole thing was kinda weird.

• And finally, in a currently manga only arc, the death of one of the villains was threatening to wipe out the galaxy due to the sheer amount of energy he collected in his being, but Goku was able to essentially bomb squad defuse him before anything really bad could happen.

Could be a couple more I'm missing, but those are the main "canon" times places even beyond the planet were threatened.
And if you're wondering how they don't destroy everything all the time when they're fighting... the energy system in the show takes a bit to explain. But the TL;DR version is, the wider their attacks are, the less damage it does in a human sized area proportional to the user's overall strength. Super small, finger width attacks can travel very quickly and can pierce through and badly wound opponents even several times stronger than the user, but require pinpoint accuracy to land. Extra large attacks can take a while to charge, will travel slowly, will deal less damage, or will drain your energy super quickly or some mix of all four at once.
So throwing planet sized attacks at an opponent is a good way to deal one-millionth or so of the damage you normally would have, and usually it would just get deflected back your way. It has succeeded exactly once in the show, though, due to an absolutely massive difference in power between the user and their opponent. And fun fact, that moment is what was referenced near the start of this video!

13:54 if you are curious (and if no one mentioned here) on why teen Gohan only used one hand to perform his attack. In the anime he became too cocky after gaining that transformation, that he let many big mistakes that costed his father literally (Cell decided to selfdestruct and Goku sacrificed by taking him away. But it was in vain as Cell regenerated and came back stronger) and his arm was broken by the strengthened "Perfect" Cell. Goku spiritually helps Gohan here to perform that attack, but he wasn't alone, it literally took the entire cast of his friends to overwhelm Perfect Cell
