90% of Beginners Identify Wild Mushrooms Wrong — Here’s the Safe Order to Check

There is a brown bottle in almost every American bathroom that
does the job of four hundred dollars' worth of mushroom growing
equipment. Nobody selling still air boxes and flow hoods has any
reason to mention it.

Hydrogen peroxide works because of one simple biological fact:
mushroom mycelium produces an enzyme that breaks peroxide down
harmlessly, and the mold spores and bacteria trying to invade your
culture do not. Add it correctly and you have a medium where your
mushroom grows and almost nothing else can.

In this video I go through twelve things about it that beginners
are almost never told: why it has to go in cold, why it will not
work from spores and what you use instead, why your substrate has
to be heated first, which strength to buy and which one to stay
away from, how to use it in the fruiting chamber, and the one
situation where it will not save you no matter what you do.

The last one is the reason any of this matters to a forager. That
one incredible mushroom you found on one log in one good year does
not have to be a one-time thing. Stay to the end for that.

Never eat any wild mushroom based on a video alone. Confirm every
new species against a regional field guide or an experienced local
forager. Hydrogen peroxide is for sterilizing equipment and
growing media only — never ingest it at any concentration.

Have you tried the peroxide method before? Tell me how it went in
the comments.
