Cristiano Ronaldo communicated to the Portuguese federation that he wanted to return to the national team. And when Jorge Jesus gathered the squad to inform them before the players returned to their clubs something happened that nobody inside the federation expected. Bruno Fernandes stood up. And five more players raised their hand with him.
Cancelo. Leão. Joao Felix. Rúben Dias. Bernardo Silva. The six best players Portugal currently have telling Jorge Jesus that if Cristiano returned in the next squad they would resign from representing the Portuguese national team for as long as Cristiano was called up. One month deadline. And the ball in Proença's court.
What this channel has been able to find out exclusively is that Cristiano called Bernardo Silva that same night. A call of more than half an hour in which Cristiano listened without trying to convince. And the following day he called Proença to tell him he needed time to evaluate the situation. The ultimatum had worked.
Bruno Fernandes has not withdrawn the condition. The deadline is still running. And in one month Proença will have to publish the list of call-ups with a decision that could change Portuguese football forever.

Portugal team is tripping
Let them suck it up
They would not have a team if not for Cristiano
Envy rots the heart and bones
This is why they never won a World Cup
Let them go
Let them go
Can’t understand this hatred for Cristiano
It’s pure envy
Cristiano is Portugal history
The six are not
Disgraceful
I can’t wait to see how the team performs
