Check out my latest upload comparing Frame-Rules on new 4:54.332 WR and the very first SMB1 run recorded: https://youtu.be/zyZhzGPG_eg

Here we can clearly see that although TAS is faster overall, Niftski has insane skill when it comes to loading screens, which lets him catch up every time

That is insane seeing them side by side.  Basically matched the TAS to the naked eye.

TAS is like "But can you get the WR doing it backwards?"

This ‘TAS’ guy seems to do a lot of extra hops that don’t seem to do anything 😂

So like imagine a bus

it's only a matter of time until the tas will have to catch up with Niftski. absolute ledge.

I think it would be a good idea to add a lower level objective for minimal inputs for TASes. So if a TAS reaches the same record time, but with fewer inputs, it would supersede the older record.

Yes, I'm suggesting this because the jumping sound becomes annoying real quick

I remeber years ago when a bug youtuber said the human limit was basically reached and no one would catch the TAS run because there was too many things to get good at and no one was going to attempt all the tricks in a single run. And here we are, about 4 years later and millions of runs by many runners and the run is almost there. Never discount human competition given enough time.

I kinda want to see an overlay version of this where they are stacked on top of each other. they are THAT close!

Bowser: "hahaha I kidnapped peach"
5 minutes later
Bowser: "Mario how did you get here so fast?"

New world record from Niftski 4:54.332
4 frames away from TAS tie. This man is a machine!

Best demonstration of the frame rule.

Just after this Averge also tied Niftski, meaning that you could also have those two be side by side and tied haha.

If you cross your eyes and overlap both screens, you realize how close Niftski is to the TAS, almost frame perfect, what a beast 🗿

3:01 MY DONO!!

to TAS niftski is like that one dude you always see on the bus

Thanks to  averge,he made the competition even fiercer.
Maybe we'll see them tie tas this year.

“The Human Limit doesn’t exist!” - Mean Girls

From this comparison we can clearly see the difference between the human Niftski and the TAS: the former has mad style, while the latter is mad stylin'.
