Dallas Weather Got SCARY… Exploring The City’s Most Powerful Museum

Dallas got hit with some crazy weather on our final day in Texas! We woke up under a flood watch with streets filling with water, and for a while we weren’t even sure if we’d make it to the airport. Once the rain finally slowed down, we explored more of Dallas, visited the JFK assassination site, and toured an incredibly powerful Holocaust and Human Rights museum. We also squeezed in some amazing Texas food before heading to DFW for the flight home. What a way to end this trip!

I saw a YouTube video where they went to Normandy, to the beaches, the US cemetery and there’s a few museums. You would love it!!

My parents took me to the Holocaust Museum in D.C. when I was in 5th grade, and it was truly eye-opening and life-changing. Ever since becoming a mother, I’ve found it extremely difficult to watch documentaries about the Holocaust. The soldiers who liberated the camps would often say they never saw any children. It still extremely hard to believe human beings could and can be capable of such evil. Thank you for sharing this.

Love that you went to the Holocaust museum. I live just outside of Dallas and have not been to it yet. I did go to the Holocaust museum in Israel several years ago. Was a very sobering and emotional experience. Thank you for sharing.

I was a GM for Chili's. We would have annual meetings at the Home Office in Dallas TX. What fun we had, delicious food & good bars to go to. However the heat and the bugs. Not good!

I’ve only been to TX once but I really liked it! The zoo there is amazing. But I will say, go a little further north in Florida, and you’ll get that hospitality and friendliness too!! Sincerely, a North East Florida gal.
