Just spent a week in the Med on Sun Princess. If people complain, they have issues! Lol. We've  already booked our 2nd vacation in 2026. Sun Princess Rocks! We always did reservations!!

We absolutely loved our cruise on Sun Princess.  It was a fantastic cruise.   I would cruise on her every week.    Clearly the change affected the design a little but it was easily overlooked.   Assigned times don’t  get rid of lines.

I just sailed on the Sun this past week. In the Eatery it can be tough to find a table at peak times, but we managed to eventually find one every time. International Cafe no issues at all, small lines at best, staff efficient and friendly. We booked 5pm seating every night in Soieil Dining room, requested same table and wait staff, never an issue. We filled out all info in Princess app before cruise, ordered pendent and was delivered to my home, and boarded with green lane embarkation m quick and easy. Did not do shows, enjoyed live music in the Piazza every night. Food was really good, wait staff was outstanding, we had table 54 which was a table for 2 right next to a large window with ocean view and Kareen and Jeffrey were super.

I was on Sun the other month, with 4200 pax.  Half an hour before any show, the theater was already 75 percent full, and the remaining seats were garbage (I was amazed at all of the bad seats in this theater - I work in theatrical light and sound).  And the smaller venue - I couldn't get to see anything there because events took place within 15-30 minutes of each other and folks just kept their seats.  Not enough space or spaces for a fully loaded ship (staff actually commented to me that this was a design flaw and an oversight).  The only issue with getting around the ship was the sheer number of scooters and walkers - I walk at a brisk pace and 2 minute walks turned into 5.  MDR food was great and I was expecting decent room service food but the quality was worse than a school lunch.  Always a line at the cafe no matter the time of day.

Went on this ship first week of December traditionally this is slowest time of the year and it was almost full. Hated it. Couldn’t imagine anyone paying to go on this cruise. 44 cruises down and this is 2nd worst behind Star Clipper. That said they offered me another free cruise so next month on the Sun again to the Med!  😂. Ship layout, small entertainment spaces, restaurant availability, no wash stations and empty hand sanitizers led to first time I got sick on a cruise, suspect it was Norovirus. This time bringing my own hand sanitizers.

As to the international cafe issue there's a specialty coffee bar one deck down called coffee currents

Cruised on it last month. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Booked another cruise on same ship.

My complaints:
1) the eclipse dining room. Very slow service. Ordered drinks several evenings and gave up before we received them.
2) americana Diner. The noise of the robot servers  incredibly annoying.
3) Inernational cafe. Large queues. Consider what time you go or have coffee delivered to your room.
4) casino. Please stop the smoking! It’s foul

I have not sailed on sphere class but I’ll be sticking with Grand and Crown class for now.

When Princess Premier was announced, I wondered about the possibility of not being able to fully utilize the specialty dining option due to the venues being sold out.  Any idea of why reservations are being cancelled last minute?  I can understand not being able to make a reservation due to being sold out, but it would irk me to no end to have a reservation cancelled the day of the meal.

I would also add that  the boarding process is dependent on how up to date the technology used to check people in. Royal and Carnival are some of the best although there is always some wait time as you mentioned. None of the other grips would be a show stopper for me although I do understand the grip about the premium package. We always choose "my time dining", but wait times in the main dining room is an issue across all lines. We love the princess brand. They are our top cruise  line, their cruises are reasonably priced. Agreed, Princess is not targeted for families or children in general. A lot depends on one's expectations. How do you compare Princess to Celebrity? Much appreciated.

Great take on this! I love your attitude ❤ PIVOT! 😂 Good luck with your channel and happy travels. We just got off the Enchanted Princess (my review will be posted soon) we just booked the Sun Princess for the end of January. Side note, my wife has Celiacs so we loved the Enchanted as far as food options for her.

What an informative video! Thank you!

Currently on the Sun Princess. Despite looking grand from the outside, she feels small on the inside. There is no focal point to this ship, no grand promenade or anything resembling it. The Piazza looks a lot bigger on the review videos than it is in reality. Also barely any shade around the pool in the Sanctuary is annoying. Not likely to pick this for another cruise.

I just happened to see your thumbnail and came here to tell you that blue is a fabulous color on you.

You are on vacation on a cruise ship. How bad can it be? I've never done Sun Princess, but on all of my cruises, there are always options: Multiple food venues, plenty of activities, and different entertainment options. One full venue won't ruin my vacation! A cruise vacation shouldn't be TOO serious.

My major complaint about Sun is their breakfast.  Long lines, bad eggs, tasteless pancakes .
On their international coffee station, long wait for specialty coffees . Disappointed!

Stop smoking in the casino, the seating for the main center for music is too small and part of the seating is right next to a casino door that remains open so you get to smell cigarette smoke along with the sushi restaurant that’s right there. The food was mediocre and most of our first wine selections they were out of so we had to make a second choice and most bars were out of Crown Royal so we had to chase it down in just a few places.

see you again at sun princess im one of the engine crew right now from philippines

OK. Great video and attitude, but the real problem here is not on whether one "hates" or not the ship. The real problem here is on whether CCL Group / Princess is delivering what is called and CHARGED to the passenger as Premium service or not. And according to some of the very well documented photo and video reviews of that ship, it seems clear that said ship is not delivering up to par with her other smaller sisters on the fleet, and now CCL group has only 2 options: To order a smaller ship prototype that lives up to the market segment and relocate this current ones to their mainstream ventures ASAP, or to downside the ship's capacity so that the bad reviews tend to return their usual share industry wise, by for example; to increase the number of top suites per regular passenger ones, or making some of the insides studios for single occupancy. There is no miracles to be done here. This ship seems to be out of its target segment and the regulars won't like it for the obvious reasons.

Anyone knows if there is indoor playground for kids?
