In one of the books that I read - Ravanan had a real had a crush on a Kanya Kumari - a tradition where a small girl was worshipped as God. Then eventually they got separated but he continued to imagine her and kept on painting her as she would have grown up. And in a point of time he would see her as a grown up version but she would have been already married and carrying a baby with a normal Good husband in a very small village. And he was shocked to see her but did not disturb her family but kept watching her and making facilities to the village she lived like a silent admirer. Then later a small warfare happened in that village and the woman who ravana had a crush was injured and started to deliver the baby amidst the   warfare and the woman and her husband died. And then the baby was handed over to ravana to take care of the baby, but by the end of the war the baby was lost or taken by someone in the warfare. Then he always looked for that baby and nowhere to find and that baby  was found by the king of Mithila who is sita. And later first time when ravana sees sita he would be stunned that  she perfectly resembles his lost love and he confirms that she is the lost baby he once decided to raise and kidnap her.

Now, let me know how true this is according to tamil and other literatures.
