I went to Chiba Port Tower a few years ago as a day trip from Tokyo.  It's very peaceful and the food was great.  I had the best Tonkatsu at a restaurant by the pier.

I already ride Shonan monorail last Spring, next time when visit Japan i will try Chiba monorail 😊

i walked from otorii to kamata along the nomi river a month ago, i love places that are quiet and local.
i was in Tokyo for 2 weeks and already planning my next trip because i loved it so much, most of my trip was Kawasaki and around Ota because it was very local, less tourists. of course i traveled around in those two weeks to Shibuya and Akihabara and around all those places too but what stand out for me was the little alley restaurants run by family, so many friendly people always curious why i was there and if i was lost :) , there is so much character in Tokyo city it keeps amazing me.
Chiba is on my list for my next trip, i also want to travel more up north to around Saitama, looks interesting too.

I got warned to not go drinking in Chiba as the bars always look to scam tourists and extort money.
