A lot of you were mad that I spoke too much in the last video, so I re-edited it to have her speak more  and have me interject less often. Be sure to follow Vera Papisova on Substack and IG : https://substack.com/@verapapisova?r=hq6bz&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=profile

I can see one of those people she dated going nuts over this. I hope she stays safe.

When i was a kid, my dad said he didnt like women working because it gives them a way out. From then on i knew that any man that didn't want his wife working is an abusive husband

Props to this woman. Not going to lie, what she did was not only insightful, but pretty damn brave.

Don't try this at home.  I'm serious, its dangerous.
These people are dangerous to have in your life.

what an insane rabbit hole to go down for ONE YEAR, great journalism glad you're ok

I’m a Black woman who worked in finance. Can 100% confirm the finance industry is where they gather. I just assumed that was the primary demo when she said she was in NYC. Finance, consulting, management consulting, and police.

I'm just happy she lived through it. That's where the bar is with these guys.

The worst thing is that this won’t change their behavior they will simply learn how to better hide their beliefs and all that.

"I come from a liberal background but I think the democrats are acting like f'ing losers."
"I mean...I voted democratic and I think most people would agree with that."
Entire audience nods in quiet solidarity.

I would listen to weeks of podcasts of her detailing this experience

I actually went and read the article she wrote.  What stuck out to me was the bit at the very end, where she ended her last date with ex-Division 1 sports star man, when she broke it off.  She  said that she couldn't keep seeing him because his views differ so much from her own.  He disagreed, saying that he thought she shared a lot of his views.   But she pointed out that no, he didn't, because he never asked her any questions about herself and what she wanted in life, in a relationship.  And yet the man still tried to kiss her.

Like I know the point of the article was to try and understand people on the right-wing of the political spectrum, to be curious about who they are and how they got to where they were, but man, it really speaks to the misogyny of so many of them; at least with the last guy it sounded like her interest in his political views made him believe that she completely agreed with them.  He was glad to talk about his own opinions, thoughts, and struggles but had no interest in hers, and didn't even seem to understand why he would have an interest.  I'd hazard to guess Division 1  Sports Guy was projecting his views onto her and assumed that she agreed with him.  I bet the thought of even asking her questions about her was just a foreign concept to him.

They think women brought down the Roman Empire? That's pretty bad ass.

Finance, the industry notorious for apathy, self-enrichment, a dog eat dog mentality, and a generally male dominated. Unsurprising these guys found themselves working there.

😭😭😭 "I couldnt get any MAGA to interview so I started going on dates with them." Girl accidentally became a method journalist and deserves all the awards 💖💖💖💖

Them blaming women for everything isn't helping the "gay" accusations that blame homophobia for sexism.

I went to a conservative Christian high school back in the 80s.  Even then, I was taught that the Roman Empire fell because of women and homosexuals.

I actually really respect the empathy she showed towards the athlete guy. There are deep rooted psychological issues that made these guys the way they are. That doesn't excuse any of their behavior, but hopefully it means they can change.

"they thought they were my hero" PLEASE. To these men and others like them: I'd rather be happy, no thanks!

My friend in Germany met a guy on a dating app  ( we are in our 50ies). They went out a couple of times and he struck her weird. Then he sent her A PHOTO of his LUNCH. It was dumplings ( Königsberger Klopse ) arranged on the plate as a SWASTIKA.
They never met again.
