I recommend silicone sculpting tools for applying frisket.  They clean easily and do not hold the frisket like a brush.

If someone had asked me to paint that photo, I think I would have laughed. But the way you break down the steps makes this seem so doable. I love it, such a beautiful effect. I also think this is a really clever application of salt

Love this demo!

So just fyi to anyone. I’ve been using liquid latex as my masking fluid and it works ten times better. 😘

I love the way you created the Sun-rays coming through

My most favourite. I have a small magazine picture of a very old beech tree forest with sunlight filtering through autumn leaves. The shafts of light defeated me as I'm total novice. This video gives me hope.

Good morning everyone from Meaford Ontario🍁

Alexandra from  NY I'm 92 years old. I love to paint in water color. My favorite  hobby. I love watching all your Videos I still am learning. The one I loved is how to paint water drops, so well done. You are one of  best teachers. Thank you

Shelly I Love,Love, Love this! Thank you so very much! I am going to watch this over and over until I can get mine close to yours.❤️❤️❤️

I’m here for the first time, so excited to have found you. Am interested in this issue of light showing thru trees! Thanks

Hi from Australia!  Love your videos thank you.  I’m interested in learning to paint old derelict houses, barns etc so would love to see a video on that subject.😉

Using older brushes for frisket is good advice. Also, using a small amount of soap on the brush before applying the frisket allows for easier brush cleaning afterward. Then, you can use a soapy solution to clean your brush immediately after use. It gives time for the frisket to dry before painting.

Very nice! Great tutorial…thank you for this!

Love your demonstrations. You are so well versed and an awesome inspiration. thank you for your dedication to teaching :)

Great painting demo and example of creating your own composition that differs from the source photo. Thank you!

I'm newly retired and just beginning to explore trying my hand a painting in the wonderful world of watercolor.  Yesterday, I happened upon one of your lessons explaining the basics of watercolors....; pigments, the color wheel, transparency vs opaque, etc.  You explained so clearly and answered many of the questions I have been struggling to understand.  Thank you!  I'm excited to begin learning to paint; however, I'm in the process of clearing possessions and preparing my home to sell.  My kids have invited me to move in with them in Colorado; therefore, I won't have much time for painting but hope to dedicate an hour a day.  I'm so excited and grateful to you for sharing your gift, talent, and personal experiences with us.  Blessings! Emma

Beautiful

This turned out really nice!!!

Thanks for the  beautiful inspirational painting

I just found your videos. They are amazing and helpful for a newbie water color artist!
