I think the lore is you go to bed and you have these nightmares of soul possessed animatronics, once you wake up up, you realize it was a dream, and you slept in your kids little house, where you realizes you are being haunted, and are haunting yourself as you strive madness for your loss son.

Fun fact:this game is actually created by the same person that made fnaf 2 reimagined which aimin also played.

In case you’re wondering,
Five Nights at Freddy's (FNAF) lore centers on a tragic, decades-spanning story of William Afton, a co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment and serial killer who murders children, using their souls and "remnant" (haunted metal) to pursue immortality. The story involves possessed animatronics, the ruined Afton family, and a complex, non-linear timeline.Key Lore Elements & TimelineThe Founders (1970s–1983): William Afton and Henry Emily open Fredbear's Family Diner, featuring springlock suits (Fredbear and Spring Bonnie).First Victims: Afton kills Henry’s daughter, Charlotte, who becomes the Marionette (Puppet), a guardian spirit for other victims. The Bite of '83 (FNAF 4): Afton’s youngest son dies after his older brother, Michael Afton, causes a prank gone wrong at Fredbear's, leading to the diner's closure. The Missing Children Incident: Afton lures five children to their deaths in a yellow Bonnie suit; their souls possess Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Golden Freddy.Circus Baby & Elizabeth Afton: Afton creates advanced animatronics designed to kill, resulting in his daughter, Elizabeth, being killed and possessing Circus Baby.Afton's Fate: After dismantling the animatronics, Afton is confronted by the souls of his victims and dies inside the Spring Bonnie suit, becoming Springtrap.Legacy & Destruction: Michael Afton seeks to undo his father's actions, culminating in the fire in FNAF 6 (Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator) that burns the remaining animatronics to set the souls free.Major CharactersWilliam Afton: Serial killer, co-founder, known as Purple Guy/Springtrap.Michael Afton: William's son, often the player character trying to "put back together" his family's mess.Henry Emily: William's partner who tries to end the horror. The Puppet (Charlotte): Protector of the dead children's souls.Cassidy: The vengeful spirit believed to haunt Golden Freddy. The lore is notoriously complex, relying on hidden minigames, phone calls, and community theories to piece together the full narrative.
