I felt sad for him, when he got fascinated to see trees in the city.....

In Europe, "modern" means 150 years ago. Half the US history. Hahaha.

"omg people walking" that phrase was so dystopian to hear lol

The difference between a castle and a palace is that a castle was built to defend against attacks, a palace only is a residence for the ruler.

7:14 "it's so nice they have old buildings" -- and he's looking at the new part of the city, only 100 years old 😂😂

Wait until people in the U.S. realize that a large part of the country was once part of the Spanish Empire, and that many things they use every day—from the dollar symbol to the names of cities and states, some state flags, and even the cowboy tradition—have Spanish origins.

This video doesn't do it justice. Greetings from Barcelona.

I have been living in Barcelona, Catalonia, all my life. I've enjoyed watching you and listening to your comments. Thank you very much for your kindness.

“Christopher Columbus is Spanish?!”

What do they actually teach you in schools in America?! That he just showed up one day and claimed he was a proud American ?! 😂

Hi from Barcelona. The beach isn't artificial. In 1992 we rebuilt the buildings around it, from old marine shacks to a modern shore, for the Olympic Games. But the beach has always been there ;)

Watching Tyler be this amazed by Barcelona alone, I feel lucky to have been born in Europe, in relative proximity to this and many uther stunning and beautiful places.

American preconceptions about Spain seem to simply be stereotypes about Mexico. I think (actually I've seen it alot) you conflate the two.

It's Europe, Tyler, all is beauty, historic, artistic and passionate.

I live along the street called Gran de Gracia with my Spanish wife after we met in the summer of 2002 via the internet. It's one of the most interesting and beautiful cities I have ever been in and I was in many of them in the U.S.

The American dream is a nightmare

Mix Spain with Mexico is like thinking American Culture is just like the UK….

Hi! From BCN also. Thanks for watching and discovering my city. I'm very happy that you loved it and I really enjoyed every of your expressions while watching the video. It made me smile hehe. It's so cool watch people so surprised with our city and mixed of modern and old art and all what the city can offers to you: entertainment, music, clubbing, gastronomy and so on. I also recommend you discover more places in Spain like Sevilla, Valencia, Bilbao, Toledo and many many other cities. A big and warm hug from this side of the globe :)

Neither the tacos nor the maracas nor those hats are Spanish.

I lived in Andalucia in the early 1980s on La Costa Del Sol. I never travelled outside of that bubble. Five years ago I visited Barcelona. Then again and again.  Incredible. In Catalonia two languages are spoken: Catalan and Spanish. There are reminders of this everywhere. Street names are in Catalan, not Spanish. I am from Wales, a bilingual society where street names are bilingual in most areas. Bilingual societies resonate with me. I felt very much at home in Barcelona. I visit Spain, Catalonia, Alicante (Alacant)  and Andalucía often. During your next visit to Europe, Tyler, I recommend you visit Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla. All of Spain's major cities are incredible.  Smaller cities such as Granada, Cordoba in Andalucía and North of Madrid, Salamanca and Segovia. Spend 6 / 8 weeks in Spain, you won't want to leave. Spain is a magical country steeped in incredible history. 😊
