This is a deeply unsettling story a good one at that it forces the human to think about these questions. The new generation shaped by anime, Isekai, transmigration story and reincarnation animes spend large amount of their time in a mental world where they think of themselves as the main character or an extra who change that world through taking others opportunities. The story is not only a reminder of what could happen in real world if someone like that rose to power but also a grim truth about human inability to reach peace. We suffer because we love our countries not the earth as whole if we do not differentiate on the basis of borders but see each other as part of the same planet then we can develop and advance at the speed that would have taken many decades in mere years. Even in the original anime most nations feared the two protectors of konoha not wanted total peace. It was always because there were powerful people in konoha, first the hashirama, then the Uchiha, then the period after that grew chaotic until Naruto and Sasuke rose to power to make the other nations fear them and bring temporary peace.
