This album and "Veedon Fleece" by Van the Man are 2 of the most wonderful musical experiences I ever had. Many people appreciate his work but for me this is the ultimate expression of his genius.

This whole album is one of the greatest albums ever. Ballerina is my fave song. First time listening to this album is a religious experience.

Still grateful for this. Love sharing this song with the people it was meant for. Keep going! Van fans will come. We promise. Into the Music, Caravan, St Dominic Preview, A Town Called Paradise - then all of them

Astral Weeks is one of only a very few albums in the history of popular music that stands outside of the confinds of it's art form.We have no right to expect this level of creativity from what we loosely call pop or rock music.

The title track of the album astral weeks was done in one take and the flute player had never heard the song before

I've been obsessed with music for at least 37 of my 47 years, and of the many hundreds, if not thousands, of albums I've listened to, Astral Weeks is in my top 20. Some days it's number 1 - usually when spring has begun to break, the sun is strong, warmth is gently returning and I am walking in the green and pleasant land once more. It's close to perfection.

Such an amazing album. The way young lovers do is my absolute fave from this one. His voice tho!!

One of the most enduring artists. Formed his first band in 1957 and still doing gigs on both sides of the Atlantic in 2026! Definitely do the whole of the Astral Weeks album. Also check out Baby Please Don't Go, Gloria, Here Comes The Night, Brown Eyed Girl, Moondance, Have I Told Lately?...

He's making great music to this day. Don't get stuck in the early work. Thanks.

Great song. Check out Moondance by Van for one of the most atmospheric songs you've ever heard. You will be sitting in a smoky bar on an October night whether you like it or not!

Thank you. Please react to the whole album. IMO it's one of the best albums of all time. The whole package is beautiful, including the intricate, emotional instrumentation. A lot of subtle touches here and there that absolutely sparkle.
