Would you sell all your real estate investment trusts (REITs)? That's exactly what I decided to do.
In this video, I explain why I decided to sell my position in REITs and switch to Treasury RENDA+, mainly thinking about building an income for my retirement.
It wasn't a decision I made haphazardly. In this video, I share the 5 main reasons that led me to make this change in my investment portfolio and explain how I'm thinking about passive income, retirement, risk, and long-term income predictability.
Among the topics I cover are:
• Why I decided to sell my real estate investment trusts (REITs)
• The 5 reasons that made me change my strategy
• Why I chose Treasury Renda+ for retirement
• How I'm thinking about my long-term investment portfolio
It's important to make it clear: this is my decision and my investment strategy, based on my goals and how I envision my retirement. It is not a recommendation for you to sell your REITs or buy Treasury Renda+.
If you are also thinking about how to build an income for retirement, I'm sure this video will help you reflect on which strategy makes the most sense for you!
METHODOLOGY FOR CALCULATING FUTURE INCOME:
The income considered is net and already discounts income tax on income received from Treasury RENDA+ bonds.
For Treasury RENDA+ bonds, two bonds purchased sequentially with a single investment were considered, generating income for 40 years (240 + 240 installments).
For REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts), a single investment was considered, with 100% of the dividends reinvested during the accumulation phase and 70% reinvested during the income phase. The remaining 30% is reinvested to optimize the maintenance of purchasing power.
For the calculation of dividends paid by REITs and IFIX, the average DY of the assets mentioned was considered throughout the entire period of the video.
