Was introduced to this game 3 days ago! Now looking into going to Chicago. :P BBG LessGo!

The number of units you run is just crazy to me. 😅 I guess you can sideboard extra units, but even so I’d rather start the opposite way round. The threat density just doesn’t seem high enough to get your gigs back. But I appreciate the format and detailed analysis in these videos. Thanks.

I have a lot of this deck in my local meta, but they run judy/delamain package instead of alt, so with similar views to your observations, I trimmed placide to 1, lizzy to 2, maman to 1, and I'm running 2 mox and a rita so that I have more compact turns, gives me more options for going second in the mirror, helps force bad trades for my opponent when I mox into their delamain, and rita gives me a way to get rid of those units that clog the hand that are too slow or awkward to play. It also is enough low to the ground units that if I can become pseudo-aggro in a pinch and steal wins with chromes and nocs if I'm not finding my actual removal. Against YYR, it buys me time while I dig for modded (I don't have a racer but I prob would play it if I did)

My biggest roadblock in games is What to Sell. It’s like the most mind bending part of the game for me for some reason haha.

Great overview. I'm all in BBG too and it's hard to find the best pattern - I guess it all depends on the local meta. We play BO1 no side - would you say that format changes how the deck should be build?

I agree with you about Placide and Maman. I've been on the "you need to play at least one Placide for not the mirror and Maman at 3 is way too much" and catching all sorts of strays for that. All these netdecking chumps just staring at the top of certain leaderboards assumes that's the best version.  Placide should be main decked as he's blues best targeted removal. He's cheeks into the mirror but as you said, easy to take out.

Maman is a -1 play. That's why she feels so bad to play. Sure you get a 3 power body and you remove one of his units. You used 3 cards to do it. If you're struggling to get your draw engine going (no 1s or pairs cause your opponent isn't a potato) she feels even worse and tends to clog the hand at 3. I run 1 at least and 2 at the most. But as another commenter said, with all the cheap gear floating around and people being smarter about play lines she's harder to swing

No JVB in my hand equals instant mulligan. Gotta have it. It is this game's Swamp, Ritual, Hypnotic Spectre

I love Sandayu oda.  One of my favorite units. I feel like he's pretty underrated in the game because nobody talks about him but in a shell that's getting value pairs which is a pretty easy shell to put together, he's quite good and has pseudo adrenaline.

Seeing so many 1 ofs for units is interesting, breaks all the rules of deckbuilding that I know from other TCGs, is that not just extremely inconsistent? Would it not be better to cut two of them and run 2 ofs?

9:35 personally I haven’t seen this as a problem, because Lizzy can play draw programmes from trash, but I acknowledge I haven’t necessarily been playing any top level players yet. But so far multiple Lizzy and Maman hasn’t been an issue for me.

8:46 i don't like it too. Especially now when so many of the anti-meta decks run cheap tons of cheap gears so things are rarely unequipped

you play more lizzy's with maman. if you want maman to work in the deck, swapping placide and 1 pepe for 2 lizzy seems much better
