Do I knit? No. Did I watch and pay attention to every second? Yes.:_LittleMe:

I think this was one of THE most helpful knitting tutorials. Every time I try to find a video explaining why the heck I’m twisting my stitches they have never explained the anatomy in a way I understood but you just blew my mind. Thank you so much!

that combination is exactly how you knit and purl in Poland, it's the default method shown in every book. I was shocked when I saw how weirdly people purled on instagram for the first time, it was sooo convoluted.

I am Ukrainian, back home we call this style of knitting "granny style", and it is the most basic and traditional method of knitting. 😁 When I first found out about English style with of throwing yarn, I was flabbergasted 🤣

Hey Kelsie! I feel like you could totally continue the color series with more themes like seasons/ holidays!
for example:
- making everything in fall colors, summer, etc!
- making everything halloween,Christmas, valentines, etc!
this is definitely one of my favorite series so I would love to see it continue 😊🫶

That is how I knit and while thinking it was wrong, I didn’t care because it was more comfortable. I have been crocheting for 48 years and this method just worked. Thank you for this awesome explanation!!

you combination knitting has seriously changed my life. it got brought up in one of your lives at one point and I immediately tried it out and i am 10x faster knitting now it is insane. I haven't traditionally purled in MONTHS

Your explanation makes so much sense. I as a crocheter was having so much trouble with that pearl stitch.

Yess! I've been waiting for this video 🙌 Thank you so much 💛

This is what I have been trying to do! This makes so much more sense to me, especially knowing it has a name. I have been big time struggling to learn how to knit. The anatomy of the stitches also makes way more sense to my crochet brain. 🤯

I've been crocheting for almost 2 years now and I recently decided to learn how to knit. I was struggling so bad with purls and twisted stitches, OMG. Safe to say I can finally knit after watching your video. THANK YOU ❤

This video was really helpful because it broke down the anatomy of the stitches. It’s taken me 739291 videos a crocheter trying to teach myself how to knit to find a video like this one.

OMG this is EXACTLY the video i needed. i learned english style knitting as a kid but hadn't done it in years. I now crochet and was trying to pick up knitting again. While english style comes naturally to me because it's what I learned as a kid, it also felt so slow and wrong after becoming way more skilled in crochet. But making the switch from english to contintental has been really difficult! I could never figure out purling! I cannot express enough how perfectly timed this was in my specific situation. THANK YOU!

2:39 sometimes we forget we don't have to do things exactly the way we were taught, you can adjust the technique to whatever is most comfortable to you and as long as the result is "correct", it's the same thing, usually that's what ends up happening instinctively

As a crocheter who cannot knit, TIL the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell! Such an informative video.

This is my style. My grandmother knit this way and I picked it up. It makes total sense even though some of my knitting friends tell me often that I don’t knit the correct way.

You make my days so much better❤

How fascinating!! I'm a lefty knitter (and crocheter) and do a bizarre yarn hold that confuses everyone! I am not a fast knitter but I do love it

@BrandiMcCarthy 1 year ago

I have been trying to learn to knit for years and this is the first video I've seen that ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE. You're amazing, Kelsie ❤

thank you for always posting
It means so much to me
If it wasn’t for me watching your posts all the time and I said
Hey I think that’s my thing!
I would’ve never learned how to crochet
I’ve been crocheting for 6 months now and I’m crocheting blankets and pillows (it’s torture)
Tysm for this support
