Here we have another one from the classic "Listen For Pleasure" series. This time it is Philip Schofield reading The Adventurous Four.
For your information, the story in this recording is abridged.
As you may have seen in my Newsdesk video before Christmas, The Sarah Greene tape from this series is on it's way and will follow shortly.
Thanks for listening, MG

Thanks for this upload. Great to hear this wonderful old story again, which I last read forty years ago. 👍👍

A great upload, thank you. I wasn't aware of this story until I stumbled upon this. I have since found an old copy of the book in a local charity shop and look forward to reading the story in full :)

I had this book as a kid. My favourite. Also they never said the enemy was the Germans. They called the swastika “ the crooked cross”

Loved Enid Blyton books, but cannot stand Philip Schofield, his accent as Andy is absolutely atrocious.
