Two Corrections!!!
1. the "ma" in jerma is actually for Massachusetts. boston andy. Shout out to the people in the comments for correcting this, I got the information from a comment on an old video and didn't cross check the source
2. The baseball stream was actually even cooler than i described. the teams were respectively composed of half clowns/ baseball players and half magicians/ baseball players. I misspoke and somehow didn't catch it in the edit

Thanks so much for all the love on the video, when I posted it I had 3 subscribers and I cant even begin to describe how shocked and grateful I am that its reached so many people.

you know hes a good streamer when the clip compilations are hours long compared to a half hour video essay

I really like how the community joke is that he’s an absolute deranged lunatic, but he’s the most kind and genuine person on the platform

This is the single greatest video essay on the platform.

I just wish Jerma was alive to see it :( rip king

Jerma is the only famous person that I will genuinely cry over when he passes

"He was just a man with a vision, and a dream, and an affinity for balls."
Wonderful.

nobody truly encompasses the insanity that is jerma's twitch community more than ballfonder. he's a legend in the community and i am so glad he was mentioned.

I once saw Jerma described as the internets best clown. He exists in such a void I refuse to believe anyone could get even close to being close to what he is and the community he has fostered. Youve put very eloquently how compared to other streamers Jerma isn't in this for the prospect of being "twitch famous", hes in this because he simply wants to create.

I started to watch jerma when I was 20 I’m 18 now and he’s come a long way in the past few years.

That segment about other streamers and their uncreative event streams was incredibly bold... and so goddamn true.

Don't let this fool you , I saw Jerma at a grocery store in Boston yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical interference,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Great video btw , really well written

I’ve been watching jerma since 2013. I truly believe he is not only the funniest person on the internet but the most genuine as well. He’s only getting better and I’m still just as excited to watch him as I was when I was 11 years old.

One of the most unique things about Jerma's community is his relationship to his 'haters.' People sometimes type some stuff that would be genuinely hurtful to most other streamers - but Jerma flips the script on how you're supposed to react to that. He laughs, and indulges it; it ends up disarming genuine haters from being able to hurt his feelings. I've seen people call him ugly, pasty, a dumbass, and a combination of obscure insults, but he always laughs at it or just takes it like a joke. He chooses to think of his viewers charitably, even when they're being mean to him. I don't see many people replicate this.

Swag video, it's hard to describe to people why Jerma is so good but you did a pretty good job

that long clip of him remaking his face legitimately made me forget i was watching a video essay and i was so confused when your voice came back, just goes to show how captivating he is

Sometimes it’s crazy to think I started watching Jerma’s TF2 videos when I was 12. I’m 22 now. I literally grew up watching this man and I love him so much. He’s so funny and creative and a just a really nice person.

ballfondler becoming as essential of an element in the jerma985 lore as he has from not only typing in chat without a donation, but not even addressing jerma to begin with, just contributing chaos as jerma does, it's incredible. chaos is where jerma and all of chat thrive.

I love how when you said there was a silly guy and a serious guy fighting you sounded like you were holding back your laughter lol

Jerma's humor is in a realm of its own. Remember when he did a dinner stream with a fake family? It wasnt funny until several years later looking back on it. He claims he didnt know it would be that bad but I bet he planned on it. He knows what he's doing.

This is so well made and I love it, I've never seen such an entertaining true crime document
