I prime mine with clear gesso and it lends a bite to the paper as well.

They make a clear gesso to use as an underlayment on book pages. I enjoy painting on dictionary pages.  Find the objects that go along with the words.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Grinch's hand with the broken Christmas ball!

I really could just binge watch your videos!! I love the creative ideas you come up with and your water colors are effortless and always beautiful!!! ❤️

Michelle, you are so inspiring. I'm keeping these two, this video and the one with the abstract landscapes, by "liking" them. I hope I can find them again when I need inspiration. That way  you remove a little paint here and there. That was good for me this time.  -- Barbara

Trabalho criativo e bonito com materiais simples, amei!

Your hand lettering is lovely.  😍
book words, some humour is always appreciated😁.  Like many things, language is subjective and in constant flow🤔🙂

The landscapes are just gorgeous! The text adds so much to the watercolor! Love it! Thanks, Michele!!

Thank you so much for sharing.
Ive always wanted to wk with watercolours but didnt know where to start.  This seems a good way, im going to give it a go.

great video.  I particularly liked the pine cone bit.  I overthink and get hung up on super accurate.  nature is not but we are indoctrinated in school art classes that it has to be.  I'm a work in progress down the painting route at less than 10% ability I do though just like to play with colours as everything helps to learn

Love this and please do a video showing how to paint the Grinch hand with the ornament!!! Pretty please! ❤

I do like painting on bookpage. Noticing the different fonts and their effect on the painted page. I also like large stamps and colouring them in with ink or paint on bookpage. Thanks for sharing your techniques

💜💜💜

Love how they turned out ♥️ Thank you ♥️

How very lovely! Subtle but creative; simple but beautiful!

Hi Michele 😊 love your paintings. I really enjoy painting on old book pages, the paint gives the paper a wonderful texture and feel. I guess you have to be a "paper lover" to get it😂 thankyou for sharing and inspiring. Sending best wishes 💕

Thank you! Especially for showing  use of the white Posca marker❤️

Michele, I'm totally in love with this tutorial! I get so happy when I see a tutorial when you are sketching and/or painting. I can't even pick which one I love the most because they are all incredible. I loved watching you create your pine sprig and pinecone. To me, it looks very realistic. I have a lot of books I've purchased from the used bookstore in the hopes of one day using them to paint on. I always thought I needed to use waterground on the paper first, but now I see I don't and instead, I can just paint right on the page. You are such an inspiration. I wish I could paint with you all day!

I LOVE THIS!!!🎉🎉🎉

I love the trees. So beautiful. ❤😊
