bro decided to put all of the basses in the universe into one track

Watching this post reminded, illustrated, and underscored what and why I subscribed to your page a few years ago .... it's your unique perspective on the whole production process.  There are arguably hundreds of other producers on YT giving their take and expertise, but your perspective "cuts through the mix"  in my opinion , because of your detailed perspective on the really essential information necessary to get the best mix possible. You are a difference maker and so is the information you provide.  It's practical but vitally important.  Thank you so much for sharing these production gems with us.  This possible is really where I live because I notoriously have too many layers in my songs.  Lol.

When "BIG Z" Speaks..........we listen x

At first, it looks like this person just threw a bunch of shit at the wall, but as it went on, it becomes apparent they were onto something. There were no bad sounds, just a lot of them, and they all worked

I remember already seeing Videos from you years and years ago, appreciate the content latley.

What really makesnyour Videos Special in the universe of Produktion Tutorials:

you are straight tonthe Point
Your Work speaks for itself
And Most important: you Always Show of the alternative, Like Here: im going to Low Cut Lot of Things BCS the Mix is busy, but If the Mix werent so busy i wouldnt hard Cut the lows.

I See this in all of your Videos and this helps a Lot to really understand and Not Only trying to follow Formulas.

Thx alot

10:03 trackspacer also ftw

Yo.  This is really solid, thanks for showing your workflow.  I would like to see your multipressor settings on that bus though!

That song is fantastic.  Not sure If Christian Carter produced this themselves or if they were just singing on it but whoever produced this instrumental absolutely blew this one out the water!

Amazing tutorial. Always wondered what the best way to deal with low toms relationship to bass and kick would be. Love your strategy.

this is gold

such good track,,,,,

thanks

🔥🔥🔥

Another beauty! Thank you.

Thanks for the reminder 🎉🎉

Thnaks man.

Big Z, in one word = Clear-minded !
I really love watching his videos 👍👌

Thanks for the great tutorial!

Mixing is all about creating space for the most important elements to be impactful and shine through. One trick I learned early on was “if you can’t hear the layer then just delete it”. Sidechain compression, spectral EQ, and stuff like that is useful - also useful is to use great source material. The most important thing in production and mixing overall is leveling. If you have a well leveled track, most mixing techniques will really only get you that last 10%… also tonal shaping happens more with compression and saturation than EQ!!!!!

awesome video!!
