The First well known lady racer was Haley Wright from Wisbech (ORCi Ministox multi champion in the late 80's/early 90's and then very nearly won a major title in Saloon Stock Cars before retiring). There was also a fair few "lady racers" around then too, with Annette Nicholls in Bangers and quite a few girls doing ORCi Ministox too (Baby Bat and Fuina Pullen at Spedeworth and Sarah Bowden at Autospeed (who went on race brisca f2's)). So I totally disagree that Claire was the first (as she was at least 5-10 years to late to claim the title of the first).

Mini Stox started in 1975 not 1977
