I finally finished building a tiny camper on a Japanese kei truck, and this video shows the entire process from start to finish. I’ve always loved small, efficient builds, and this little Honda Acty project pushed me in all the best ways. From framing and insulation to siding, wiring, interior details, and the final touches, this was one of the most unique campers I’ve ever created.
If you’re into DIY campers, micro trucks, tiny homes, or creative builds, I think you’ll love following the full journey. This thing is lightweight, functional, budget-friendly, and ridiculously fun to camp in.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel — it means the world. If you have any questions about materials, design choices, or how to build your own camper on a small truck, drop them in the comments!

We added a 2” receiver to the front of our 2000 Honda Acty HA7 (4WD) and in the winter we attach a snowplow to it to plow the 5-7 feet of snow off our private road.
I found a set of 14” Daihatsu Van Aluminum wheels and bought a new set of Yokohama Geolander X-AT 165:65/14 tires.
In the summer we use it to haul whatever we need for our 54.5 acre mountain property here in north central Washington state.
In a few years when we can buy them new in the USA we’ll buy a new Daihatsu Hijet Jumbo with the farm equipment pkg.
Our Acty has only 32K miles on it and we bought it mainly to plow our road, but we’ve found so many other things that it can do.
We can get into places where my 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed simply cannot go.
