Horrible experience but loads of potential. Remember we don’t all get the service you would receive.
Your comment on “taking your time”, they let me start 15min early and then stopped me 20min before my session was over. I thought they let me start early because the range was empty, and because the day before I lost major time due to their lanes breaking and had to move twice (went with multiple rifles so not quick).
Loads of potential but bad bad service from who they said is their GM.
I was accused of rapid firing on the rifle range when doing 2 second interval shots, none of the other shooters could believe their GM stopped me on such slow shooting. Then wouldn’t give me a metric as what is considered too fast. Just acted aggressive and then didn’t like my return responses, but he’s useless.
So lekker to have a 200m in our backyard, hopefully they change their attitude towards clients.
The RO that shot your 50DE, I had a good chat with him after and explained the scenarios of loosing my lanes due to the ROs not keeping to lane booking, loosing time due to broken lane equipment, taking time away from me, and falsely accusing me of rapid fire further wasting the precious and expensive time you pay for, he was good and agreed but their GM is the reason I won’t pay membership and rather shoot just for development and support the outdoor ranges with good client service.
I agree with your comment on the lighting, I chose the lanes on the wall because it’s easy for someone to shoot your target as seen in your video, but lighting is much better in the middle.
Again, great range and potential, just remember we don’t get VIP treatment.
And the fact thatclients” in the gun store “complained” about me rapid firing on a slow shoot when shooters didn’t even note any rapid fire, well that tells you a lot about the GM 😂
In 1990, I opened a 100-meter-long and exactly half-meter-wide range in the Italian Alps. It's a very efficient way to test patterns without the disturbance of wind or changing light. Since 2010, it's been closed and used only for private purposes, testing my hunting guns. About 100 kilometers away, there's another 300-meter-long underground range. This one is in Lograto, in the province of Brescia, north of Italy. Gunbank range and armory. Italy is the most beautiful country in the world to live in. To live well there, it's very important not to have to work! 😂
Load development heaven! I would totally do a 200 yard zero there I stick with 100 because of wind. The ability to take out all environment factors other than the gun and ammo would be amazing.
I stopped going to indoor ranges because of the blast of riffles makes it not much fun...shooting a 300prc with a brake Indoors makes my other rifle cases jump in the air
Fascinating video! Wish we had something like this in Canada 🇨🇦 The 50 cal is impressive ; fired one myself..desert eagle . Not sure how practical . Another great video Piet! Thanks !
MG42 with MG34 VTEC triggah. 1500 RPM first stage pull.....3000 RPM second stage pull. 14lbs. 7mm WSSM NAS3 EPR. After 5 rounds are fired.....the heat from the barrel activates.....VTEC. Variable Timing Exit Coordination.
Ow no you didn't, you legend. Robocop would be proud, LOL. So far all the staff I have dealt with and spoken to have been on point and make you feel at home. Also a great selling point to buying from them.
Great video Piet and love indoor ranges for collecting pure data. Just a suggestion for the range, if you don’t mind. Here in the states, instead of fixed cameras at 100 and 200 meters. We have the camera mounted to the trolley. This of allows for target vision at any distance. Love the channel Piet 🤘😎
I was managing a large firearms retailer that had an indoor pistol range when the first Desert Beagles came out, they were in .44 Magnum then. I was opened one up to put it in the counter and immediately knew I didn’t want to shoot it and would never own one. We sold a bunch, I just never saw the attraction
