James Mason could read the telephone directory and make it sound like a thriller - pure class. Just like this film.

That's what great cinema looks like - unfortunately we'll never see the likes of it again.

"I'm not in the habit for paying for my own tea." One sentence, and her heart got exposed.

This is one of those films where one hopes the murderer gets away with it. Another one is "Tiger Bay." If you have not yet seen Tiger Bay, you should. It's Haley Mills' finest film, in my opinion. Her father, and Megs Jenkins, also give fine performances.

Seriously??? She said, 'If only my husband were here; he'd know what to do...' Bloody hell, were women THAT ridiculous and unable to make any sort of decision - especially in the case of such a serious case of her daughter's??? Good gad.....James Mason was such a wonderful, talented actor!!!
