Prime Zetterberg and Datsyuk were something to behold.

@hockeyfan131993 5 years ago

Zetterberg at peak athleticism ... damn he was something else.

Still seeing Holstrom get called for those frustrates me to this day

What a series but F Riberio for that dirty shot at the HOF’er Ozzy

08 was Dallas’ last year as a Cup threat with Modano/Zubov.

By the time they next made the playoffs they were a completely different team

Really good stuff. Ozzie for hall of fame. Awood for hall of fame.

Really crazy how dirty the stars were back then. Imagine getting pounded and then looking for injuries. God this is the hockey I grew up on and miss it

datsyuk made playing the game of hockey look so effortless

Dallas Drake was hitting everything this series. 12:26 was epic.

That pass modano made to morrow for that goal in game two looked Datsyukian, beautiful feed.

Nostalgic AF. Love watching these older series

12:52 pure magician. His spatial awareness was unmatched. Knew where the pressure was coming from, knew what was going to happen. Played the game 3-4 seconds ahead of everyone. Just insane levels of ability.

36:34 one of Z’s best plays. So smooth.

As a red wings fans this is for sure one of my favorite series of all times... but I do want to give a shot out to the unsung heros here. Doc and Eddy were on it from game 1. So many calls, the "Grossman just run right off on the hit by helm" and the Dallas drake 3 hits in a row call. Miss this tandem very much

16:44 pavel being pavel. You’re welcome

That was a gritty series. Many of those Stars ended up in a Wings uniform at the end of their careers.

Lord take me back!

Wish we had a restaurant here that sold wings and just played these older games, I mean you'd know already who'd win but who cares. This was a different type of hockey
