Thank you so much Mr Nadkarni. This is a very rare recording on many many counts. This I think is the only recorded instance on anyone in the Dagar tradition using the alamkar of Dogun and Chogun. Also aggressive bolbaant which is generally absent from the presentation of compositions in this tradition. The chowtal composition is presented elaborately and they even announce that they have been encouraged to do this because of the quality of pakhawaj playing. My guess is it Vithaldas Gujarati who is playing the pakhawaj. His explosive and dramatic pakhawaj playing is very distinctive.
