The editorial team of the "Counter-News" program on "First in Moldova" is showing for the first time how migrants live in Moldova. Many of the people who came to our country to work told our journalists that they really like Moldova – they have good salaries here, much higher than in their home countries. And they are thinking about bringing their families here.

"I didn't earn much in Bangladesh, so I had to go abroad. The difference is huge; salaries here are at least 500 euros. Working as a courier, we can earn 800-1000 euros a month. That's impossible in Bangladesh," said Bangladeshi citizen Dalim Shikder.
"My parents are in Bangladesh, but the salary conditions are much better here. I work as a courier, and it all depends on how much I work. Sometimes it's 18,000 lei, sometimes 20,000. In my country, salaries are around 8,000-10,000 lei," said Bangladeshi citizen Abid Sami.

In addition to their main jobs as couriers, migrants also take on seasonal work, such as grape harvesting. Employers say they are forced to use foreign labor because there are practically no local workers left—all our young people are abroad.
