Scarlett: ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED

@3:08 It's kinda how Batman chooses the bat as his symbol because he was terrified of bats as a kid.

even in SC 1 the hydras shot "groved spines", the animation looked very wet but it was spines back then as well, PiG you are so good at tempting me to comment on your video, this was fun to watch

Scarlett always puts out entertaining games, win or lose;

I'd say it's not hydra that's powerful... it's Scarlett :)

Finally, a pro Zerg game where I don't yell "where is the anti-air?" the entire time.

The hydra spines are venomous in both StarCraft 1 and 2 StarCraft 1 just focused more on the venom and SC 2 focuses more on the spines.

The hydra venom is why General Warfield loses his arm on Char.

They shot grooved spines back in the day.  With very strong muscles that could send the spines at supersonic speeds and made them capable of penetrate neo-steel.

I would expect some saliva coming out of the mouth after achieving such feat.

As others have said, hydras shoot "grooved spines" in SC1. The green spit splattering out, I imagine, is like a natural lubricant they need to squeeze out the spines at a high speed.

Hydras always shot spikes, but in SC1 they always spewed out quite a lot of acid when spitting them out. I believe there were some cinematics in the Terran campaign that have shown the spikes being shot out.
Also the books about the XelNaga artifacts (that were written long before CS2) described them as shooting spikes.

“Troll is in the eye of the beholder” - Sarah Kerrigan

If she does the opposite of what she says, then that is a stratagem in war.

pointing out hydras are bad is...normal though. It is a t2 unit for 2 supply with its own building, 150 resource cost. What is it used for? Turning into lurkers. It isn't like the corrupter where both it and its evolved form are viable and useful. It is basically the broodwar scout where it is so rarely 'good' that it is major news if a top player uses it to be effective in any situation

Hydras can climb cliffs with their blades, according to canon. One can also be seen climbing through an elevator shaft in one of the sc1 cinematics

500 grand for a SC2 tournament is crazy i've never seen this much in the pot before

is ok, she just thought she was playing kerrigan in coop

Spirit went out to harass Scarlett's bases just at the right time, when she was transitioning to Broodlords. Did he scout the transition? It felt like he knew it.

In the cinematics of the campaing is shown that the hydrolisc shoots spikes.

Hydras not only shot acid in SC1, their attack was also instant, not a projectile like in SC2 making them much more mocroable... like the marine.
Hydralisk attack was the stupidest nerf they introduced in SC2.

I think hydras lost their venom whem they fought together with the night elves.
