I know how mushrooms are grown and I'm washing them.

$15.99 for a chili app that’s basically just frozen and fried is wild.

For people asking for price breakdown… it’s ALWAYS cheaper to eat at home and healthier, you may “spend more” for ingredients but you’re getting much more food out of it than what restaurants charge

I love that she actually tries the real food instead of just complaining about food that was delivered hours ago.

I wish you broke down the prices to make it at home vs eating out.

I mean, white wine have a different chemistry and flavour than chicken broth

man, i know that our portions in America at restaurants are usually bigger than a regular portion but that cheesecake factory dish was MASSIVE. that would literally last me for more than one meal on several days. which i mean... i guess $30 for 4-5 meals is a good price, but goodness.

I've been making Zuppa Tuscana for years. The main difference I do is I saute garlic in the bacon grease rather than use garlic powder. Pretty much the same otherwise except sometime I use Spinach.

Jason Farmer has done a lot of videos on recreating P.F.Changs. The chicken might be brined. He once stated that they use this on all of their protein.
I have it premade in my kitchen ever since then. (Not, that I'm using it for every meal I make.)
I'll surely save this episode to file!

15:08 I jumped back in the recipe to say, perhaps next time don’t soak the potatoes, the extra starch might help thicken up the final soup, and make it seem thicker and creamier

On the lettuce wraps, a little dark soy won't change the flavor but will make it much darker

29:00 just make a jug of the dressing for any salad throughout the week

7:25 I was thinking a brine as soon as you said it was more flavorful

also, i really appreciate that you put a progress bar at the bottom for when you do the ads! i like to know/see how long it is :)

I make a version of Zuppa Toscana with extra potatoes to add thickness, almost like a stew. But that's how we like it.

Every time I see the portion sizes in American restaurants I am flabbergasted... that's 2-3 meals where I live... we buy theses sizes to SHARE!

15:25 wiping off the bacon grease is definitely showing serial killer vibes 🤣😂🤣😂

8:19 I like chilis southwest egg rolls, but my favorite thing from there might be their chips, they are so light and crispy. I sometimes order carry out from the app, with an order of the queso with extra salsa, and the app gives you free chips and salsa with $5 purchase, so for like under $8 you get queso, a few things of salsa and 3 bags of chips

2:20 that is iconic Hailey Catalano and her partner Chuck. She is a James Beard writing award winner….they are great❤😊
