What is it REALLY like to be an airline pilot?

Come with me behind the scenes for a full 4-day airline pilot trip as we fly through Minneapolis, Oakland, California, and Indianapolis. I’ll show you what life is actually like when flying for a major airline — from the cockpit and airport operations to hotel layovers, workouts, exploring new cities, and everything in between.

And this trip has a little bit of everything…

✈️ Flying the Boeing 767
🌎 Minneapolis → Oakland → Indianapolis
🏢 A hub turn through our headquarters
💪 Getting workouts in on every layover
🥩 One of the BEST steaks I’ve ever had
🍔 The VERY important question: Am I allowed to eat In-N-Out in California?!
✈️ An update on my Boeing 777 bid — did I get awarded the airplane for training?
🏨 What airline pilot life is REALLY like when you’re away from home

I’m Pilot Pete, a Boeing 767 airline pilot sharing the real, behind-the-scenes side of commercial aviation — from cockpit life and layovers to travel, fitness, and everything that comes with being an airline pilot.
