2026 marks two pretty huge milestones: 125 years of Royal Enfield and 100 years of Route 66.
So when I got the chance to ride a 125th Anniversary Royal Enfield Classic 650 along one of the most iconic stretches of the Mother Road, from Arizona to California, there was absolutely no way I was saying no.
This ride had everything I love about motorcycle travel: old roads, strange little towns, incredible history, unexpected stops, and most importantly, the people you meet along the way.
From Oatman and Cool Springs to Roy’s, Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch and finally the Pacific, we followed Route 66 west to celebrate two icons that have somehow both made it through more than a century, and are still inspiring people to get out there and explore.
