━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Most people have never heard of Civil Air Support, but every year volunteer pilots quietly transport life-saving medical supplies across the United Kingdom.
In this video, we join an incredible mission to collect and deliver lifesaving medical items from Scotland to London, helping ensure it reaches the patient who desperately needs it.
Flying my former Cirrus SR22 G-CYFR, we depart Liverpool for Fife, stay overnight before collecting the precious cargo, and then fly south to London Elstree where it is handed over to the dedicated Blood Bike volunteers for the final leg of its journey.
This isn’t an air ambulance or military operation—it’s ordinary private pilots using their own aircraft, time and experience to make an extraordinary difference.
It’s a reminder that General Aviation isn’t just about flying… sometimes it’s about saving lives.
