I never realized this would be a part of my past memory

You know MatPat is going to make the most elaborate lore story in history from this one game. Mark my words.

man im here in 2025 and i still love this, it never gets old

Fun cat fact (I want to do one per episode but don't have many at the moment so we'll see what happens): Ever wonder why cats tend to stop and stare at each other when crossing paths? They're likely squaring each other up. Cats have enhanced peripheral vision meaning they view things out of the corners of their eyes better than we do so they tend to only stare directly at things they want to fight, hence why feline staring contests usually end in a brawl. Next time you want to pet a cat, try to avoid looking at it as much by looking away every so often or slowly blinking instead as that is a sign of trust in cat language.

4 fun facts about cats

A cat's learning style is about the same as a 2- to 3-year-old child

A cat's purr vibrates at a frequency of 25 to 150 hertz, which is the same frequency at which muscles and bones repair themselves

A group of kittens is called a “kindle"

A house cat could beat superstar runner Usain Bolt in the 200 meter dash

I believe the developers actually put MoCap suits on cats to track and use their movements for this game, and is why it looks so realistic.

Bit of Lore Dan missed:

The Zurks were created by the Neco Corporation. It started out as a bacteria designed to eat trash that was overflowing the slums. But after humans went extinct, it started mutating, and eating a lot more than trash. Now, there are Zurks, that eat anything that's in front of them. Even metal... Which is why the robots fear them so much.

You learn this by finding a memory in the big infested tower, you find a neon sign advertising the Neco Corporation.

To God Gamer10, since I can’t reply to your comment for some reason, here it is, he did, MatPat did make one

i have barely just starting watching this, and i gotta say, as a cat owner, the movements of the cats are so lifelike, and so is the behavior. truly great visuals

The way Stray flipped over at 8:47 to land on his paws... SO REALISTIC OH WOW

FUN FACT: In this game, for the cat's movement, irl they put these things on cat's paws and copy it to the game so what the cat's are doing in the game also happens irl.
The more you know!

39:32, those red lights are connected to VERY loud sirens that broadcast throughout the slums and middle class layers, I say both layers because that echo sounds far away in all directions, and it’s BASSY.

As someone who grew up watching DanTDM, I get a strange comfort from hearing his voice, as if reuniting with a relative I haven’t seen in a long time. I’m glad that he’s still getting the recognition he deserves!

I've seen trailers of this game and I'm so glad someone's playing it because it looks so awesome and the idea of just being a cat in a strange futuristic environment is super cool.

I remember watching this video on a Holiday night 3 years ago freshly uploaded

Ok guys im gonna explain how to find out what the code to the safe at 44:36. So how you find out how to open this safe is you have to get the secret password note to elliot’s programming and give elliot the note it will say “Duffer bar” then you have to go to the bar in the slums and look for a sign that says “duffer bar” and press triangle on the painting above and it will show you the code to the safe.

Not even 5 minutes in and I already wanna play this game myself. I don't know how they did it, but they made an extremely well made game about being a stray cat.

I’m a major cat person, this game made me smile :)
Also, Dan, not to disappoint you, but those cats including you are normal cats. Normal size, normal everything. You’re an orange striped tabby.

One time my cat toothless meowed at my tv then it turned of suddenly it was both scary and interesting

I’ve actually heard people talk about this game, and I’m glad I finally found someone playing it. It looks super cool. I would love to give it a try sometime!
