Wow!  I'm 75 yrs old, and a die-hard country music fan, and this man has what it takes to MAKE IT!  Made me cry during this whole posting!  A country man with a superb voice, good looks, and family-oriented mental tone.  Love this guy!!!!

Hes a home boy and his family will always be his priority

Man, he sounds like he has been singing and performing for decades! What a crystal clear voice! So effortless!

He has a great, clear voice. I can understand him. Audience likes him. He is real!!!

All his songs seems like he's singing right from his heart to his wife (kids/family) I feel the LOVE AMAZING

This guy is greatness personified - may God continue to bless you, Tate Stevens!

I'm from Tate's hometown, and ironically he just thrilled the folks here in Belton, on Saturday night, singing from a stage set up in the middle of Main Street, as the grand finale closing act at one of our city's yearly festival entitled Carrie Nation Days! I'm totally puzzled as to why this video just showed up on my feed, and WHY it was apparently just posted 3 weeks ago!! For those who don't know, yes, Tate did win, but that was 13 years ago!! Is he actually humble, Mid-west man he appeared to be on the show?? Yes, absolutely! I can't claim to have known him when he was growing up, because he was a bit older than my kids, but I know a lot of folks who have known him for years. And they say what you saw on the show was authentically who he was and still is. He did make an album, shortly after the show, and he reminded us that it came out as #4 on the charts. He, also, in his humble way, also related that it never made it on up to #1. But for quite awhile, he was still out there, still touring and doing concerts. Then the Pandemic hit! So he had to be at home for awhile. I still don't know the entire story, but from what he said, Saturday night, that time back home made him realize what he was missing! He was missing his kids growing up, and missing his wife, and they all were missing him. And though he still did random concerts locally, I don't think he ever went fully back on the road. He didn't go back to the St Department, though. Instead now I think he has his own construction company. And part of what he builds is for a foundation that helps house disabled Vets. They build custom houses designed to the needs of their disabilities. And that organization depends partly on donations. His kids are now grown, and he had his first grandchild about a year ago. He and his wife are still happily married from all indications. But 'lest you think that means he's totally given up on music, he hasn't.  He mentioned that he has just released a new single that he wrote, and is in the process of recording another. So maybe, we'll all get lucky and start hearing more about Tate and his music! Belton is still incredibly proud of him! There was a large crowd that had the street and sidewalks filled up for several blocks!! And he's still appreciative of us. I heard him about 4 years ago at another Belton festival. And both times he expressed his gratitude to the community and thanked people who voted for him. Then with Tate's customary onery humor he added, "I want to thank all the folks who voted for me! And even if you didn't. That's OK, I still won!" Lol!! He's still incredibly down to earth, and his voice is still wondrous!! 😊

I was thrilled he won, Tate deserved it!!!!!!! God bless him and his family:face-red-heart-shape:

I love that love he and his wife have! to me that made him a star from the start!!
