Why does the same desire keep returning — even after you have prayed about it, surrendered it, and meant every word? This video traces what Scripture reveals about how desire works beneath the surface of your choices, and offers one quiet practice you can begin tomorrow morning.
Key verses explored in this video: James 1:14–15 | Genesis 3:6 | 2 Samuel 11:1–5 | 1 Kings 19:4–8 | Psalm 139:23–24 | Colossians 3:1–2 | Psalm 42:3, 5 | Philippians 4:8 | Romans 12:2 | 2 Corinthians 12:7–9 | Proverbs 24:16
The seven-day challenge: Each morning, before you reach for your phone, ask four questions. What am I feeling right now? What is that feeling hungry for? Where will feeding it take me? What would it look like to bring this to God instead?

Our choices often begin deeper within us, with what we desire, dwell on, and allow to grow in our hearts. A desire may feel powerful, but it does not have to become our decision. This is why spiritual discernment matters: we learn to recognize what is pulling our hearts before it becomes an action.
Instead of simply asking, “What do I want?” we can ask, “Where is this desire leading me, and does it honor God?” Bring your desires honestly before Him and allow His wisdom to guide your choices.
God bless us all 🤍🙏🤍
