I'm still willing to give this another shot when I have some spare time, but at the end of the day, this was a huge opportunity to make a new IP and they couldn't deliver. You guys that are putting 100's of hours into this, what makes you keep coming back?

Starfailed's problems had EVERYTHING to do with superfluous building mechanics. F4 settlements were basically a resource sink with a small hook into the radiant quest system, it was mostly introduced because they were developing the player construction system for what would become F '76. The major failure of Bethsoft was choosing not to learn or iterate on a system that felt half-baked even in F4. They already had a reputation for poor post-launch support outside of the most basic bug fixing, now they developed a reputation for failing to iterate or improve features between releases.

It’s funny because although I believe Bethesda has actually been in decline for 20 years by this point, I did at least give Todd credit for being a savvy businessman who understood what casual gamers wanted. After not even releasing a game that people wanted to play for a decade however I can’t even say that, dude is basically a scam artist who took Microsoft for a ride, and I wonder if they even have to ability to make games in general by this point, to say nothing about good games

As a fan of the channel, I can only beg you not to play Starfield during your Christmas break. You'll only come out of it feeling even more depressed about the current state of AAA gaming 😊

As for outposts in the game, I don't know what the original intent was for them, but I can tell you that these days they're mostly used to level up your character by mining resources, crafting products, and selling them for credits. It's a very boring and overly complex part of the game.

Seriously, if you're close to level 50, I would recommend playing the Terran Armada DLC. It's actually very good. You need to be around that level because there are a few challenging missions that require a lot of firepower.

If you're not close to level 50, I wouldn't even bother going back to Starfield. I can recommend many better ways to spend your Christmas break 😊

Man when you play starfield, it literally feels like your playing a game from 2015. It was dated right out of the box. Complete disaster. I hope they never touch the ip again

I got Starfield free with my gpu I still want my money back it was the most basic dated braindead "RPG" I swear they were taking the piss

Starfield doesn't really need sequel. But they just really need to fix it up a bit, Terran Armada and some other quests are buggy as hell.
