"I'm dying Arok." "Good, that means you're still living."
Bars.

This is 42:35 more minutes of Iron Hands content than GW has ever released, thank you

any story where the betchers gland shows its value is always appreciated

Arrok had the best of intentions, but as they say, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

“What are you doing arrok?”
“Bringing you to safety”
“I think we are going the wrong way.”
“The only way through is forward.”
How tragic these words would be.

This is one of the best iron hand stories I’ve heard in a long time. I love it man.
The flesh is weak but deeds endure.

Loved the grimdark machinations of the iron hand, and the horror of a human forcibly removed from deaths' embrace

“Arrok… what have you done!?”
Hope…slowly turned to literal heartbreak.

The Iron Hands are a chapter of men who hide their pain in the iron of their augmented body, and while they seemed cold and distant they in truth are still very human, but the difference compared to their cousins is that they have very little need to feel human.

This is more lore for Iron Hands than GW has ever given. The idea that the Keys of Hel still exist after the Heresy would be terrifying.

Imagine having to die, twice. What an anguished soul that travels to the Omnissiah.

"I can fix her bro"

Those first few minutes of Arok in the trenches, holy shit. Bullets ricocheting in his mouth, pierced by lasfire, knives, shrapnel and still fighting. I know astartes are tough, but goddamn Iron Hands are built DIFFERENT. Another fantastic tale by Stephen brought to life by Vox, fantastic work as always gentlemen.

I thought the lamentor's story was tragic, but my Emperor....

We need more stories like this

The results of this trial are... suboptimal. However, from failure knowledge is still gained. May this pain be utilized productivity.

On the plus side, the Deathwatch just gained a powerful new member for two hundred....no, THREE hundred years.

Unofficial or not. This was the best piece of Iron Hands lore I've ever heard. The fact that the keys of hel cause sort of cyberpsychosis on her traumatized psyche is wrenching. At the same time arrok feeling the very human need to preserve her through any means nescessary is heartwarming. An Iron hand finding this much affection for life amidst all the cold logic that makes them tick. Exquisite indeed. And the chants for the Omnissiah... Peak content, right there.

I felt this story to the bone.

"I am dying."
"Good, that means you are still living."

As someone who was in Arroks shoes... you must learn when to let go.

I fucking love it. Poor lady, still better than what an Iron Warrior would do though.
