In his exclusive 2-hour conversation, Raver — born Marlon Grandison in Jamaica — opens up about his extraordinary journey from arriving in London in 1994 and becoming a well-known figure in Peckham, to his conviction and life sentence in 2006. He received a life sentence with a minimum sentence of 10 Years IPP. An indeterminate sentence of Imprisonment for Public Protection that was introduced in 2005, one which doesn't give you an automatic release date.
Raver speaks candidly about the circumstances that led to his imprisonment, serving time, discovering and developing his love for music behind bars, and the journey that followed his release.
From Jamaica to South London, from the streets of Peckham to prison, and from prison back to the microphone — this is Raver’s story in his own words.
