this is just like when people overhunt wolves and prey species overpopulate the ecosystem

Can we talk about the fact that it's been 9 months since "Are Splatanas too OP?"

The problem with buffing anything on sword is that it does too many things already. I think it needs some trade offs to go with any meaningful buff. The skill ceiling needs to be incredibly high since all swords have more range than other weapons in similar roles in addition to having a melee one shot and object damage. If a buff makes any sword meaningfully easier to play without toning anything else back the overall package gets excessive.

Honestly the idea that Stamper has been "overnerfed" to the same degree as Machine or Squeezer or something is so jarring to me. I can sorta see it? But for so long the Stamper nerfs have felt better handled. The weapon has still felt strong whereas Squeezer and Machine felt a hell of a lot worse after theirs. It think it's a potential separate point ot discussion

The best way to buff splatanas is to allow us to use three of them at once

I think they need to buff splatanas with exteme care because even if they aren't necesarily good competitively, i feel like splatanas are the bases for some of the most versatile non shooter weapons in the game and already feel really hefty stat/kit wise. I also dont like decav as a weapon but thats just a personal gripe mauhahahaha xD

Bubble blower mention

I think midline meta slowly overtime became more and more AOE meta

Chara, April Fools is next month. Aight never mind, those were actually some good points.

I don’t like the splatanas object damage because it feels unecessary, like a random thing to make them good against brellas while the other object damage classes actually make sense. Brellas are especially struggling, buffing their counter when blasters are seeing their peak seems like just shooting them dead.

Great video. It's also worth remembering that a lot of Stamper's nerfs were because of how good it was in Turf War back when Koshien was going on. The devs have been recently reverting other nerfs that were made because of Koshien results, like the points for special on CDS and Tri Nouveau, so maybe they'll make a similar change for Stamper

I'm not sure if it's something they'd do, but I'd like to see Stamper have its curve for ink saver main adjusted. This would provide a reasonable trade-off for official Turf War tournaments where subs are turned off, in case the devs are afraid that it would be too good in Turf War again if its painting uptime were closer to what it used to be

4:59 Bubble Blower--

If we’re toning back the ink effiency on Stamper, the one with Booyah needs to be 200p, it absolutely did not deserve to be 190p.

i yearn for an S+ tier wiper so freaking bad

They need to lower the hp on booyah bomb.  The panic button bs has got to go

1 month of only one splatana in x tier
"You took my only food, Now I'm gonna starve..." ahh video

Regardless of any buffs stamper needs i still think the charge slash shot should have object damage fall off at a distance its a slow moving slash it shouldn't be doing so much object damage from max range -i play brellas

I always thought they nerfed stamper too harshly and while it stayed a decent pick for a while after the ink efficiency nerfs, it definitely got powercrept.  One thing I think a lot of people don't think about, is the fact that because splatanas are strictly line-of-sight, the rest of their kits have to do a lot of heavy lifting.  It's why both wiper's 2nd & 3rd kits were basically dead on arrival.

S-s-splatanas are m-mid in comp?!!?!?

My personal hope (though it would absolutely necessitate a wiper compensation nerf) is that they make it so run speed actually works on Splatanas. A riskier option for sure, especially given cooler, but I think the fact that it didn't work on Splatanas was always weird and unintuitive, and I'd like to see it changed.
