এই ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে এখন বড় প্রশ্ন—বাংলাদেশের ভবিষ্যৎ বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের একটি অংশ কি মানুষের বাড়ির ছাদ থেকেই আসতে পারে?
সরকার ইতোমধ্যে ব্যাটারিসহ ছাদভিত্তিক সৌরবিদ্যুতের জন্য বিশেষ প্রণোদনা চালু করেছে। নির্ধারিত শর্ত পূরণ করে নিজের প্রয়োজন মেটানোর পর অতিরিক্ত বিদ্যুৎ জাতীয় গ্রিডে সরবরাহ করলে প্রতি ইউনিট ১০ টাকা ৫০ পয়সা হারে বিশেষ মূল্য পাওয়ার সুযোগ রয়েছে। ২০২৭ সালের ২৮ ফেব্রুয়ারির মধ্যে ব্যবস্থা স্থাপন করলে এই সুবিধা ২০৩০ সালের ২৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি পর্যন্ত কার্যকর থাকার কথা।
শুধু বাড়ির ছাদ নয়—সরকারি ভবনের ছাদগুলোও সৌরবিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের কাজে ব্যবহার করার পরিকল্পনার কথা জানিয়েছেন প্রতিমন্ত্রী। সরকারি ভবনের নিজস্ব চাহিদা মেটানোর পর উদ্বৃত্ত বিদ্যুৎ গ্রিডে দেওয়ার মডেল নিয়েও কাজের কথা বলা হয়েছে।
এদিকে ছাদভিত্তিক সৌরবিদ্যুৎ সম্প্রসারণে পল্লী কর্ম-সহায়ক ফাউন্ডেশন বা PKSF ৫০০ কোটি টাকার অর্থায়ন কার্যক্রম নেওয়ার কথা জানিয়েছে। বৃহত্তর ৭,২৪৫ কোটি টাকার অর্থায়ন উদ্যোগের অংশ হিসেবে এই অর্থ rooftop solar সম্প্রসারণে ব্যবহার হওয়ার কথা।

কিন্তু প্রধানমন্ত্রী যে সব স্বয়ংক্রিয় সুবিধা পেয়ে সফল হয়েছেন, আমার জন্য সে সব সুবিধা দেন তাহলে ইনশাআল্লাহ আমিও তিন দিনে সৌর বিদ্যুৎ স্থাপন করব।
আমি জানি, সেই সুবিধা আমি পাব না আর আমার জীবনে সৌর বিদ্যুৎ স্থাপন করা ভাগ্যে জুটবে না।
