The WEIGHT

the need to create
in the scales of fate
that here and now
are seeds to sow

like a plowman
catch as catch can
inspiration's burden
in touch forbidden

the light of Day
mars the way
to face the dark
and find the spark

its light is cast
as but a shadow
of illusions lost
at a bitter cost

the tension tied
by things denied
to drop the pride
and just abide ...

What's the name of this book?

So many parallels with Moses and his story here.

Aren’t symbols often also worshiped? Did the existentialists resolve this issue? Isn’t the “absurd” an answer?

Yo bro ive always wanted to know do you belive in god and if you do wich one do you belive in

When the God you were raised with dies, judgment does not die. It only changes address.

Before, you sent your verdicts upward—to God.
Now that the sky is empty, those verdicts land on you.

At first, that feels like power:
“I decide now. No one can correct me.”

Then it feels like standing alone on a roof:
high, exposed, with nothing beside you.

Imagine a scale.
You used to send the weights of judgment upward, to God.
Now God is gone. The weights fall on you.

If you are not big enough to hold them,
you put yourself in God’s place.
That is inflation.

From inside, inflation feels like height.
From outside, it looks like a man on a roof who thinks the roof is the ground.

The death of God throws the weight of judgment onto human shoulders.
If you put yourself in God’s place, you inflate and burst.
If you have something outside yourself that can say no,
you can carry the weight and remain human.

God left.
Judgment stayed.
I stand alone on the roof.

The sky is empty.
The weight did not leave.
It fell on me.

God dies, judge remains
Weight lands on the lonely self
Find what can say no
