American Reacts to Harry Enfield: Women Know Your Limits

I react to Harry Enfield's sketch, Women Know Your Limits. A spoof public information film from Harry Enfield and Chums. It looks like an ordinary dinner party, but something dangerous is about to happen

I am a woman and I know my place..ha ha. Comedy as it should be without everyone taking offence..love it.

As a woman, I think this is hilarious. Remember, offence cannot be given, only taken!

We love ironic comedy in the UK , it’s funny because it points out the prejudice. So nice to see you get our humour

A sketch from the early 1990's mocking life in Britain in the 1930's

I have an old electrical advertising sign hung in the kitchen which says, ''Gentlemen do not let house work kill your wife, let electricity do it''.

Absolutely brutal satire. Genius.

I once jokingly said to my girlfriend "Woman...know your limits" thinking she'd see the funny side and get the reference.
She did not ...
Ironically I now know MY limits .

I love the Harry Enfield Public Service Announcement skits

If you can’t take the piss out of how it used to be, then what’s the point of comedy? 🤣🤣🤣 Harry and his crew. Legendary!

I remember Public Information broadcasts back in the days when we had our first black & white TV. They were also in cinemas too.

Harry's satire on British men's attitude to women prior to the women's liberation movement is just brilliant

Harry Enfield was a great show back in the 90's. Loved it when I was a kid.

The best thing about this is that her opinion is the most intelligent one at the table.

I remember this from the 90s. Still hilarious. Both as a satire of old fashioned sexism and a parody of old public information films
Sad if some people can't take a joke nowadays.

“Women Know Your Limits” was my teenage daughter’s favourite sketch; it never failed to make her burst out laughing. It brings back fond memories for me, though the skit reminded me of my own youth and was a little too close for comfort.

There's a whole series of these. "Women, don't drive!" and "methods of self-defence" are some of my favourites. Short and sweet, and very funny.

I remember this, it's part of his show called Harry Enfield and chums. Hilarious

It’s an homage to the Pathe news reels of the 40s where everyone spoke in clipped English accents.

Look out for the one where they shouldn’t be allowed to drive and how to make babies. Classic

All of the Mr Cholmondley-Warner sketches are absolute gold, there are a lot of them on YouTube and you can't go wrong with any of them. Great video again Mr Beard 👍
