The way she said ' hum roz raat ko izzat beechte hai, saali khatamiz nahi hoti' and how immediately her eyes welled up and expressed the lingering sadness prevalent in her life was such an impeccable moment of acting. Alia really did imbibe the character of Ganga and gangu so well and she understood and expressed the raw emotions that the character was going through. She had a very confident and natural presence on the screen in Gangubai and was every bit the character of Gangubai.

She deserves a national award. My goodness, I didn't even like her before this movie. She nailed it.

Troll her, criticize her or say whatever you want to but the fact is YOU CAN'T TAKE HER TALENT AWAY FROM HER . She was, is and will forever stay as one of the FINEST actors our country has given to the world. PERIOD

This is just commendable.
Loved Alia's  Speech here.
She is such a beautiful and a versatile actress.

After watching this film..Any time i look Alia ..i forget her identity..
Such was her performance ..that movie ended..but Gangubai was still alive in her...
Superb performance..one of her best film

I can’t think of any better actor of this generation other than Alia! She definitely nailed it ❤️

Is it okay to ignore her talent under the banner of 'starkid'?

Just look at her performance- Alia has immense talent and we all see it everytime she appears on camera. She makes the most out of whatever role she's given. Her performance in raazi, gully boy and gangubai has shut the haters.
Its time to stop teasing and calling people names just for being born in a famous family.

This movie is was really something else. I loved it. Also to those who are still gripping over someone like Tabu or Vidya playing this role, please explain how an actress in their 40’s play a person who’s journey starts in the film from 16 years old to mid 20’s? Think a little bit.

She deserves nothing less than a National Award for this !!❤

Alia deserve every bit of success.

It was so incredible to watch her as Gangubai in the theater. She totally owned it🤩👏👏

I just loved loved loved alia bhatt as gangubai she was fab throughout the entire movie no one could have played this role better than her love u loadsssssssss Alia 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

"Hum dil mein aag aur chehre par gulab rakhtey hai
mita kar aapki mardo ki bhukh hum tum aurato ka rubabh rakhtey hai"
One of the finest dialogue i ever heard 🙏🙏

This scene alone can shut the mouths of the haters who said that Alia is a miscast in the role of Gangubai. Seriously, I can’t see any other actress play this role other than Alia now.

This was a brilliant film! Really give a proper insight of how the women in India are portrayed, and the actual reason on why they do what they do. She’s an amazing actress, played the role really well!

Performance of a lifetime. It’ll be remembered for ages. It was an exhilarating experience watching it at theatre. It was truly memorable. Congratulations to the whole team of Gangubai.

Alia was phenomenal as Gangu.. She is a very stromg contender for best actress awards next year

I streamed whole movie three times, absolutely loved it

She is really pure talent to watch. The confidence she brings front of camera tells everything about her acting.

She has already Surpassed some legends through her previous impeccable performances. & With this performance in Gangubai She reached a level where no one can"t match her brilliance.
