I find it strange that they thought the Silver medal was such a big deal. He won the fight, and anybody who mattered knew it. Even the record books presumably do put an asterix or something next to the entry of the silver and gold medal winning boxers of that olympics. They should have been celebrating. Winning the fight is more important than winning the medal. Any decent boxing scout or promoter could see that.
