The Slither slugs make a cameo appearance inside a display tank in the Collector's lair during the first Guardians of the Galaxy. This movie could be an unofficial prequel or shared-universe story, humorously suggesting a space slug escaped into deep space after the Collector's museum exploded.

The prosthetics were hell for Michael Rooker. He dislocated his shoulder with that long arm prosthetic, and spent his 50th birthday in the giant monster make up at the end of the film. Despite all that discomfort, he's still friends with James Gunn 😂

I’ll never forget seeing the scene of Brenda imploding 🤢 that disturbed me as a kid

It's actually pretty tragic. This entity had never converted a sapient species before, so it had no true consciousness until it killed and assimilated Grant. It absorbed all his thoughts, his memories, his feelings. It felt awareness and love for the first time in its entire existence.
Grant really did love Starla, which means the monster loved her too. But it couldn't fight its own nature no matter how much it wanted to, so it was doomed to lose her. And doomed to feel loneliness because of its new awareness.

"Pam" was married to James Gunn at the time, which is why she's in this movie. 😉

"COVER YOUR HOLES". 🤣😂😭 Thank you so much. I was hitting my gross limit and then that line made me laugh myself sick.

Fun fact: this movie used so much physical goo, slime and skin like silicone in its production that they at one point depleted the entire National supply while filming!

It’s a blink-and-you’ll miss-it moment, but James Gunn himself shows up at the beginning of the movie. He’s the co-worker Starla is talking to, making Grant Jealous

If you guys like horror comedy I'd recommend Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Very funny and would give it a watch!

I didn’t know James Gunn was responsible for creating this childhood cult classic until the comments filled me in.

My fav line: I’m so damn hungry, Bill.
